brasmătĭae (access. form bras-tae, App. de Mundo, p. 65, 25), ārum, f., = hoi brasmatiai (sc. anemoi) or brastai, a [p. 250] shaking of the earth, an earthquake:

brasmatiae sunt (terrarum motus), qui terram molestius suscitantes sursum propellunt immanissimas moles, ut in Asiā Delos emersit, etc.,
